Jest is a band ready to bloom. Restless after live shows and projects went dormant, singer/songwriter, Eric Carranza, found his new material recapturing that lost energy. The songs that took shape were much louder than recent endeavors, and bandmates, Pratik Singh (Yeti Steady), Andy Sanford (The Person and the People), and Dave Power (Bathtub Cig) came aboard.
The new album, Behaviors, is full of the collective salt and grit of prolonged isolation. Full of a crushing vitality that never forgot how to dance, it bursts and it glides. It’s pressure and release. Jest says “good riddance” to restraint, shaking off the dust, like there never was any.
